ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis County resident is seeking damages over injuries he allegedly sustained in an auto accident involving a semi truck on Interstate 55.

Edward Riefle filed a complaint on Dec. 18 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Marten Transport LTD, Allen Hensley and Albert Charles Keener alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 27, 2012, he was a passenger in a motor vehicle driven by Keener when they were involved in a collision with defendants Marten and Hensley's semi truck on I-55 approaching the overpass with South Seventh Street in St. Louis. He alleges he sustained serious injuries that resulted in medical expenses, pain and suffering and other economic and non-economic damages.

The plaintiff holds Marten Transport LTD, Hensley and Keener responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, jointly and severally, in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that is just and proper. He is represented by Andrew L. Mandel of Mandel & Mandel LLP in St. Louis.
