ST. LOUIS – An insurance company is facing a lawsuit from a client who alleges he was injured in an accident and it failed to pay him fair and just compensation.

Anthony Davis filed a complaint on Dec. 31 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Safeco Insurance Co. of America alleging breach of contract and vexatious refusal.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 19, 2017, the plaintiff was involved in an automobile accident due to the carelessness of an unidentified driver. He alleges he suffered injuries to both knees, low-back, mid-back and pelvis and incurred damages of approximately $6,874.

At the time of the accident, the suit states the plaintiff was insured by the policy issued by defendant that provided underinsured motorist coverage.

The plaintiff holds Safeco Insurance Co. of America responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to pay him fair and just compensation for his injuries.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that is proper and just. He is represented by Gene S. Hou of Missouri Injury Law Firm LLC in High Ridge.
