Husch Blackwell partner Steve Levine has been named by 5280 as a Top Lawyer in Marijuana Law. It is the fourth consecutive year that Levine was recognized by the outlet, and he is one of just 12 lawyers appearing on the list.
A member of the Husch Blackwell’s Food and Agribusiness group, Levine has represented clients in the cannabis industry since 2010 on matters ranging from corporate law, financing and real estate transactions to state and federal regulations pertaining to medical and recreational use of cannabis. Levine leads the firm’s Cannabis Law practice.
Resident in both the firm’s Denver and Sacramento offices, Levine is a past member of the National Cannabis Industry Association’s Policy Council, a body comprised of industry leaders selected by the organization’s Board of Directors and that plays a critical role in the development of cannabis policy at the federal level.
Levine writes and speaks frequently on legal matters affecting participants in the cannabis industry, including medical and retail centers, medical and retail cultivations, manufacturers of infused products, testing facilities, marijuana technology companies, industrial hemp farms and processors, landlords, private equity funds, credit unions and security companies. Since 2016, he has been annually recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in the area of corporate law.
