Woman alleges fall because of water at St. Louis Children's Hospital injured foot, back

ST. LOUIS – A woman alleges she was injured at a St. Louis hospital because of water on the floor.

Christina Gibbs filed a complaint on Jan. 3 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against St. Louis Children's Hospital alleging that defendant failed to warn of water on the floor.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 9, 2017, she was walking within defendant's hospital premises when she slipped and fell on water on the floor. She alleges she suffered injuries to her right foot and back and incurred damages of more than $25,000.

The plaintiff holds St. Louis Children's Hospital responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to use ordinary care to remove or inspect to for to discover the water and failed to warn of it.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant in an amount greater than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that is just and equitable. She is represented by Kyle Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab PC in St. Louis.
