ST. LOUIS – An insurance company is seeking $30,000 from a St. Louis driver over a collision with a pedestrian in 2016.

The Hartford Insurance Co., doing business as The Hartford, as subrogee of Joshua Kyles, filed a complaint on Jan. 4 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Dorjeana Coluin alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on May 9, 2016, Kyles was injured when the defendant's vehicle struck and collided with him while he was crossing at a St. Louis intersection. The plaintiff alleges it expended $30,000 for medical expenses related to Kyles' injuries.

The plaintiff holds Coluin responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain control of her vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks actual damages in the sum of $30,000, plus interest, costs and all other relief that is just and proper. It is represented by Ronald A. Caimi and Michael A. Kasperek of Vogler & Associates LLC in St. Louis.
