ST. LOUIS – A motorcycle rider is seeking more than $25,000 from a St. Louis woman over a collision in the city.
Jeffrey Kawa filed a complaint on Jan. 7 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Olivia Elder alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 16, 2018, he was driving his motorcycle on Hampton Avenue in St. Louis when he was struck by defendant's Liberty Jeep. He alleges the collision caused injuries to his hip, shoulder, back and right ankle.
The plaintiff holds Elder responsible because the defendant allegedly violated the stop sign, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to yield to the right of way and failed to complete a proper and legal left turn.
The plaintiff seeks judgment in his favor in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that is just and appropriate. He is represented by Paul A. Maddock of Maddock Law Firm PC in St. Louis and John P. DeMoor of DeMoor Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
