Car accident 23

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man alleges he needed surgery to repair a shoulder injury he sustained in an auto accident with a bus.

Patrick Norman filed a complaint on Jan. 7 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against First Student Inc. and Juanyne Barner alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 19, 2018, he was a passenger in a car driven by Thelma Norman at the intersection of North 14th and Cole streets in St. Louis when the defendants' bus struck the passenger side of Thelma Norman's vehicle. The plaintiff alleges he was diagnosed with torn rotator cuff after the incident and underwent surgery to repair it on May 7, 2018.

The plaintiff holds First Student Inc. and Barner responsible because they allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to sound a warning and failed to stop.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court, plus costs, interest and all other relief that is just and equitable. He is represented by Kelley Anderson of The Anderson Law Office LLC in St. Louis.
