St. Louis Litigation Partner Tim Gearin has been named a 2019 Law Firm Leader and was recognized by Missouri Lawyers Weekly during a luncheon on Jan. 25.
The award honors chairpersons, managing partners or other law firm executives who demonstrated extraordinary vision, innovation and leadership during the past year.
Gearin is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and has been involved in many recent, key decisions about the growth and direction of the firm. He also serves as leader of the firm’s award-winning Mass Tort and Catastrophic Loss practice area, which includes more than 40 attorneys in offices across the country. Further, he is co-leader of the firm’s Health Care and Life Sciences industry team.
One of the most sought-after defense litigators in the Midwest, Gearin has broad experience in business litigation, catastrophic and personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, complex antitrust litigation, and qui tam cases.
Gearin has tried more than 50 cases throughout the United States on behalf of some of the nation’s largest hospitals and health systems, Fortune 500 companies, physician’s groups, and ag and biotech companies. His successful defense verdicts have ranked among Missouri’s highest for more than 15 years. In recognition of his advocacy skills, Gearin has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is currently serving a term on the organization’s Missouri State Committee.
