Thompson Coburn LLP issued the following announcement on Feb. 14.

Lexology, an international legal intelligence service, has selected St. Louis partner Nick Lamb as its exclusive 2019 Client Choice Award winner for litigation in Missouri. Lexology recognizes one statewide winner per practice area each year.

The Client Choice Awards recognize law firms and partners around the world – nominated by corporate counsel – who stand apart for their excellent client service and ability to add real value to clients’ business above and beyond others in the market. As part of the research process to identify award candidates, in-house attorneys and executives are asked to rate individual lawyers and law firms on the quality of legal advice, value for money, commercial awareness, effective communication, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, response time, sharing of expertise and use of technology.

Nick represents clients in all types of civil litigation, including the defense of railroad, product liability and other personal injury claims, and the management of class action and commercial litigation. As one of the Firm's most experienced and successful trial lawyers, Nick has served as lead counsel for major corporations in high-exposure cases in Missouri and Illinois state and federal courts, including venues considered plaintiff friendly, such as the City of St. Louis, and in other federal and state courts throughout the country. He has secured jury verdicts, summary judgments, favorable settlements and appellate victories in numerous cases involving FELA, maritime, health care, product liability, employment, class action, patent infringement and business litigation issues.

Since 2007, Nick has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America®. In the 2019 edition, he was named a St. Louis Lawyer of the Year for Railroad Law.

Nick has combined a successful trial practice with a wide range of civic and charitable endeavors in the St. Louis community. He serves on the board of directors for The Buddy Fund, which provides sports opportunities for at-risk children, and is a former board member of Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis. Nick is a past president of the Missouri Athletic Club, and is the president of the Knights of the Cauliflower Ear, a historic social club in St. Louis. He is the former chair of the Board of Trustees for De Smet Jesuit High School, and in 2017 was named to the school’s Hall of Fame.
