ST. LOUIS – An Indiana woman alleges she was injured at a St. Louis hotel because of a slick surface in the bathtub/shower unit.

Lisa Kosinski filed a complaint on Feb. 13 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Drury Hotels Co. LLC, doing business as , alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 7, 2014, she was a customer of the defendant when she was caused to fall, striking her abdomen on the waterspout in the bathtub. She alleges she suffered injuries resulting in loss of earning capacity and enjoyment of life and medical and hospital expenses of approximately $28,000.

The plaintiff holds Drury Hotels Co. LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently equipped the shower/bathtub with a soap dispenser that leaked onto the surface, making it slippery for patrons, and failed to provide adequate handrails for use in the shower/bathtub.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in a fair and reasonable amount, with interest, costs and all other relief deemed just and proper. She is represented by Samuel A. Mormino Jr. Alton, Illinois.
