Armstrong Teasdale is proud to announce that David W. Braswell has been elected managing partner of the firm. A partner in the firm’s Corporate Services practice group, Braswell joined Armstrong Teasdale in 1995 and has been active in firm management for more than a decade. He has served as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee for the past eight years and was leader of the Corporate Services practice group for nine years. He was also instrumental in the January 2019 opening of the firm’s New York office. Michael A. Chivell continues as chairman of Armstrong Teasdale.
Braswell has been involved in numerous high-profile mergers and acquisitions nationwide. His legal practice includes serving as lead counsel to corporations and their boards of directors, providing guidance on transactional and compliance issues, and helping them shape and execute their strategic plans and operational goals.

For more than a decade, Braswell has been ranked in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business for his depth of corporate experience and has been consistently recognized by other industry organizations. He is active in both the legal and charitable communities, and currently serves on the board of directors of Peak Resorts, Inc. He is a former member of the board of directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation-St. Louis Chapter and the St. Louis Sports Commission. In addition, he is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Illinois State Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
A graduate of Stanford Law School, Braswell earned his B.S. from Washington University in St. Louis. He is admitted to practice law in Missouri, Illinois and New York, and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
