Shook Associate Brent Dwerlkotte has been appointed to serve as a subcommittee member on the Jury Instruction Committee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. The Committee drafts instructions and verdict forms to aid federal judges in their communication with jurors and to help attorneys present their cases. Dwerlkotte’s subcommittee will focus on jury instructions in civil rights cases.
Dwerlkotte concentrates his practice on class action and mass tort cases. He serves as the chair of the Federal Practice Committee of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, and is a principal author of the Missouri and Kansas Class Action blog.
