THOMPSON COBURN: Thompson Coburn’s UAS practice launches Three Lawyers and a Drone podcast

Lawyer

Thompson & Coburn Llp issued the following announcement on July 8.

Thompson Coburn is pleased to announce the launch of its latest podcast, ThreeLawyers and a Drone, hosted by members of our Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) practice. The podcast explores the legal and business challenges posed by integrating unmanned aircraft into the National Airspace System, and how the expanding use of UAS is affecting the general public, private industry and government regulators.

With over 30 collective years of experience in the transportation regulatory industry, partner Sean McGowan and associates Tyler Black and Mike Deutsch offer insights on a variety of drone-related topics and trends.

“There are countless industries that are considering using drones or already flying them,” said Sean. “Our goal with this podcast is to produce short, insightful episodes that provide background on UAS regulations and practices and offer tips for the safe, legal and effective use of UAS.”

In the latest episode, released July 1, the Three Lawyers and a Drone crew covers the ins and outs of flying a drone for commercial purposes under UAS Small Unmanned Aircraft Regulations, including pilot requirements and operating rules.

The previous two podcast episodes explored drone disruptions at airports and public spaces and tips for first-time drone operators.

How to listen: Three Lawyers and a Drone is available on iTunes, Spotify and Stitcher. The audio for each episode is also posted to our website.
