THOMPSON COBURN: Pam Meanes receives a 2019 Diversity and Inclusion Award​

Thompson Coburn issued the following announcement on July 24.

Pam Meanes, a partner in the Firm’s Business Litigation practice, was recently recognized by Missouri Lawyers Media for her Diversity & Inclusion efforts. As one of the recipients of the publication’s Diversity & Inclusion Awards, Pam will be recognized August 9 in St. Louis, along with 18 other honorees.

Pam is an experienced civil litigator and a national leader on issues of civil rights and equal justice under the law. She is a past president of the National Bar Association (NBA), the nation's largest African American bar association. During her leadership of the NBA, Pam led nationwide efforts to address voting rights, equal justice, education as a new civil right, and a more diverse judiciary.

Pam has been recognized numerous times for her diversity efforts, including recognition from Washington University’s Black Law Student Association (BLSA). She also received the Women of Achievement award from the St. Louis Women of Achievement Organization, and a Women’s Justice Award from Missouri Lawyers Media.

In a 2017 spotlight in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Pam, who serves on the Firm’s Diversity Committee, praised Thompson Coburn for its commitment to the community and diversity. “Throughout my career, the firm has wholeheartedly supported every civic and community endeavor that I have sought out,” Pam stated.
