Shook Hardy & Bacon issued the following announcement on July 24.
More than 600-area school kids will have a better beginning to the new school year thanks to local law firms and judges. The Shook Kansas City Summer Associates, along with others, helped raised funds to purchase school supplies for the children at Operation Breakthrough.
Lawyers and judges who are members of Lawyers Encouraging Academic Performance (LEAP) will distribute the supplies at the annual “Back-to-School Breakfast” which will be held July 26, 2019. Operation Breakthrough is a nonprofit daycare serving vulnerable populations of Kansas City. Shook Partner Sarah Lynn Baltzell serves on the board of directors of LEAP. Summer Associates will be on hand for the event.
