POLSINELLI PC: Polsinelli Ranks No. 8 Among the Top 100 IP Law Firms Nationwide

Polsinelli PC issued the following announcement on Sept. 11.

Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli has been ranked No. 8 among the top-performing law firms nationwide in Patexia Inc.’s 2019 IPR Intelligence Report. The firm improved upon its. No. 11 ranking in the same category in 2018. The IPR Intelligence Report evaluates more than 1,100 law firms and 5,000 attorneys in the intellectual property space on activity and performance.

Polsinelli also ranks No. 3 among the Top 100 Law Firms representing petitioners, climbing one spot from last year, and 67 spots from its 2017 position.

Patexia’s third-annual IPR Intelligence Report has taken into consideration results from approximately 8,100 cases, 5,000 patents and 83,000 claims, in addition to feedback from more than 3,000 companies and 200 judges.

“We are proud to be recognized by Patexia in its IPR Intelligence Report once again this year,” said Polsinelli Intellectual Property Department Chair Patrick Woolley. “We’ve worked diligently over the years to expand our IP services and grow our business to this point. Our ranking reflects the many talented attorneys and professionals in our practice, as well as the clients that we’ve been fortunate to serve.”

Patexia analyzed and reviewed activity and performance of attorneys in its report to name the Top 100 Best Performing Attorneys in IPR; Senior Partner Henry Petri and Shareholder James Murphy earned top individual honors.

Petri, an experienced IP litigator out of Washington, D.C., ranked No. 21 among the Top 100 Best Performing Attorneys in IPR and No. 32 on the list of Top 100 Best Performing Attorneys representing Petitioners.

Murphy, a member of the firm’s Patent Post Grant Practice in Polsinelli’s Houston office, is listed No. 20 on the list of Top 100 Best Performing Attorneys representing Petitioners and No. 35 among the Top 100 Best Performing Attorneys in IPR.

Earlier this year, Polsinelli was also ranked among the Top 10 Best Performing Law Firms Overall and in High-Tech by Patexia’s 2019 Patent Prosecution Intelligence Report. In 2018, the firm was ranked in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Law Firms" for Patent Law, Trademark Law and IP Litigation.
