HUSCH BLACKWELL LLP: Faculty Handbooks: Common Issues and Practical Tips

Courtscalesgavel673

Husch Blackwell LLP recently issued the following announcement.

Faculty handbooks are critical documents, often of contractual significance. Institutions of higher learning use them to communicate the terms and conditions of faculty employment as well as philosophies of shared governance. All too often, however, faculty handbooks can be outdated, fail to define essential terms, lack sufficient detail to guide committee processes or otherwise fail to promote the institution's goals and good academic decision-making.

This webinar offers practical advice for addressing common handbook issues and provides tips on structuring a handbook revision process that can yield more effective policies and promote “buy-in” from faculty and administration.
