LITTLER MENDELSON PC: Littler onDemand Honored for Legal Innovation

Award

Littler Mendelson P.C. issued the following announcement on Dec. 13.

Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, is pleased to announced that its Littler onDemand platform was recognized at the Top Legal Innovation Awards program, hosted by Missouri Lawyers Media on December 12 in St. Louis. Littler onDemand – a technology-based platform that provides answers to workplace legal questions and critical data analytics – was honored in the category recognizing innovative services or products that assist the work of an attorney.

“Corporate legal departments are increasingly seeking alternative staffing solutions and process improvements that deliver greater value, while also looking to their law firms for data-driven insights to mitigate risk and guide decision-making. Littler onDemand was developed as a direct response to this market demand,” said shareholder Scott Forman, founder of Littler onDemand and Littler CaseSmart®. “We strongly believe that continuous innovation in the delivery of legal services is critical to our ongoing success and are honored to be recognized by Missouri Lawyers Media for our efforts.”

Littler onDemand allows clients to submit workplace legal questions through an online app that immediately returns prior attorney responses for questions that have come up before in the client’s organization while using the platform. If a question has not been previously addressed for that client, Littler onDemand provides the option to handle the query in-house or direct it to a client-dedicated team of Littler onDemand Counsel – experienced employment-law practitioners with an average 15 years of legal experience. Littler onDemand Counsel are on call to deliver answers to common workplace questions – they will respond directly or collaborate with a cadre of Littler attorneys with subject matter knowledge in particular areas of law or jurisdictions to address more complex questions. The platform houses all of a company’s inquiries and provides insight into their most frequently recurring issues and problems to better manage risk and their workforce.

“Littler onDemand has been extremely well-received by in-house counsel and HR professionals who have long grappled with managing the constant stream of questions that arise on a daily basis,” said Kim Yates, shareholder in Littler’s St. Louis office and Program Director for Littler onDemand, who accepted the award on the firm’s behalf. “In addition to providing a more efficient, reliable way of delivering counsel, the platform creates a knowledge bank of information that can be drawn on to answer future questions and to spot recurring trends and issues.”

Missouri Lawyers Media launched the Top Legal Innovation Awards in 2018 to recognize attorneys, firms and businesses around Missouri doing progressive work to drive new practice areas, services and business strategies.

Littler’s forward-thinking approach has also drawn accolades from other major organizations that recognize legal innovation, including the Financial Times, American Lawyer, National Law Journal, Association of Corporate Counsel, International Legal Technology Association, College of Law Practice Management and Fastcase 50.
