Armstrong Teasdale issued the following announcement on Jan. 9.

Armstrong Teasdale proudly announces that five attorneys and five professional staff have joined the firm’s offices in Las Vegas, Philadelphia, New York City and St. Louis. This comes on the heels of the firm’s Jan. 2 announcement that 18 attorneys were named partners. The five new attorneys as of Jan. 6 include: Partners Alicia Ashcraft, Jeffrey Barr, Timothy Bergère, Herbert Cohen and Associate John Sun. They join over 520 attorneys and staff firmwide.

“We are proud to start the year off strong and take advantage of these varied growth opportunities across the country,” said David Braswell, managing partner at Armstrong Teasdale. “These talented attorneys come to us with a wide array of experience in areas such as litigation, environmental law, real estate, marijuana and hemp law, and intellectual property. The continued investment in our attorney ranks across offices and practice groups is yet another demonstration of our positive growth trajectory and commitment to putting our ‘People First.’”

Ashcraft is a skilled transactional, corporate and administrative law attorney whose practice encompasses complex commercial transactions and regulatory compliance matters. With more than 20 years of experience representing clients in highly regulated industries such as marijuana and hemp, gaming, liquor and transportation services, Ashcraft advises businesses through all phases of operation – from startups, through financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, land use and licensing. She is based in Las Vegas.

Barr is a member of the firm’s Corporate Services practice group with more than 20 years of eclectic legal experience. While he focuses his practice on counseling clients in the marijuana and hemp industries with respect to business transactions, commercial litigation, real estate, crisis management, and government relations, he also has experience with municipal law and has handled civil rights matters for his clients. Barr is based in Las Vegas.

Bergère has more than 35 years of experience in the field of environmental law. His experience working in government lends to his depth of knowledge when it comes to guiding clients whose activities are governed by federal and state environmental programs. Serving Fortune 500 clients across the country, Bergère regularly manages and resolves environmental liability issues arising from former holdings and operations, including Superfund “tail” liability that sometimes follows historic operations. He is based in Philadelphia.

Cohen is a member of the firm’s Financial and Real Estate Services practice group with more than 40 years of experience. He is focused on the representation of condominiums, cooperatives, homeowners associations (HOAs) and purchases and sales of residential properties. Cohen is based in New York City.

Sun has an incredible depth of knowledge related to software development that guides him in his intellectual property practice and makes him a great asset to his clients. A former law clerk for the U.S. International Trade Commission, he has extensive experience with patents related to electrical technologies. Sun is based in Philadelphia.

Five additional professional staff joined the firm’s Las Vegas, New York City and St. Louis offices.
