Shook is a sponsor of the 38th Annual Valentine Gala for Sunflower House, February 8, at the Overland Park Convention Center in Overland Park, Kansas.
“Shook is honored to support Sunflower House,” said Shook Associate Claire Hillman, a former social worker who interviewed child victims for the State of Kansas before attending law school. Hillman currently serves on the board of Sunflower House. “The work they do day in and day out for children is humbling, and I’m gratified to be serving as a member of the board.”
Sunflower House is a children’s advocacy and abuse prevention nonprofit serving the Kansas counties of Johnson and Wyandotte. The agency addresses physical and sexual abuse and neglect of children through a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach that includes education, advocacy, forensic, medical and therapeutic services. Its vision is to see safe children thriving in nurturing families and communities.
