Armstrong Teasdale is proud to announce that Partner Bill Corrigan has been appointed a Circuit Court Judge in St. Louis County by Gov. Mike Parson.
“With a deep sense of humility and gratitude, and commitment to the importance of public service, I accepted the Governor’s appointment,” said Corrigan. “I am so proud to have served as a partner at this firm alongside many great attorneys and professionals.”

Corrigan joined Armstrong Teasdale in 1990 and his litigation skills and legal acumen have gained him national recognition. He served as one of the youngest presidents of the Missouri Bar Association, and in 2010, he won the Republican primary election for county executive of St. Louis County. An accomplished trial attorney, Corrigan has won a number of high-stakes, multimillion-dollar cases on behalf of his clients across a variety of industries, and has served as lead trial counsel in courts in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and Texas.
For over a decade, Corrigan has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America®. He is also featured in Chambers USA, has been named as a Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyer® and voted by his peers as one of St. Louis' top 50 lawyers. In 2018, he earned a Mentor Award from Missouri Lawyers Media.

His extensive litigation experience includes serving as lead trial counsel in cases involving breach of contract; noncompete agreements; trade secrets; complex fiduciary duty matters; shareholder disputes; complex tort and employment matters. In addition to his experience as a successful business litigator, Corrigan serves as outside general counsel to many small and large privately held businesses that are headquartered in St. Louis, including family owned and closely held businesses.
He’s also earned a number of recognitions from his law school alma mater, the University of Missouri, including the Faculty-Alumni Award, the Citation of Merit Award and the Distinguished Recent Graduate Award. He served as a commencement speaker in 2004, and was president of the Board of Trustees for the University of Missouri School of Law Foundation from 2012-2016.
Corrigan is also active in and has a long history of involvement with local professional and charitable organizations. He served on Armstrong Teasdale’s Executive Committee for 12 years. He is chair of the Litigation section for the U.S. Law Firm Group (USLFG), and the firm’s representative for Lex Mundi. In addition to serving as president of The Missouri Bar, Corrigan is former president of The Missouri Bar Board of Trustees, and a former delegate in the ABA House of Delegates for The Missouri Bar. He also served on the Executive Council of the National Conference of Bar Presidents.
Corrigan currently serves on the Advisory Board of Directors for the White House Jesuit Retreat, the Board of Governors for the SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Foundation; and the board of the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation. For seven years, he sat on the board of the Old Newsboys Day Children’s Charities. He has also held prior roles with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Edgewood Children’s Center and the Kids in Motion program.
Corrigan earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri and B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
