Polsinelli PC issued the following announcement on Nov. 10.
Polsinelli, an Am Law 100 firm, announces Shareholder Jane Arnold, St. Louis Office Managing Partner and Health Care Alignment and Organization Practice Chair, was named a 2020 recipient of the prestigious Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards by Corporate Counsel. Formerly known as the National Women in Law Awards, this program recognizes top women lawyers throughout the U.S. who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession.
Arnold is being honored for her achievements in Thought Leadership. The category showcases women, who by their passion and drive, have achieved unparalleled success in law through their outstanding leadership skill. She is one of only 29 women across the entire U.S. to receive the 2020 leadership award. Arnold was recognized at a virtual awards dinner on Oct. 28, 2020, as part of the annual Women, Influence & Power Summit.
“In her nearly 30-year legal career, Jane has fought against gender stereotypes from all angles in the legal community,” Chase Simmons, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Polsinelli said. “As a practice chair and office managing partner, Jane has a voice in high-level conversations, recruiting and retention discussions. We are incredibly lucky to have Jane’s passion and advocacy for women not only here at Polsinelli, but as part of the legal industry itself.”
Throughout her career, Arnold has advised clients on more than $1 billion in transactions within the healthcare industry, including leading BioScrip Inc. and a team of attorneys through the $223 million purchase of assets of CarePoint Partners, LLC, and its subsidiaries. She has also led the deal teams for numerous healthcare technology and business services acquisitions for a significant private equity fund. In addition, she served as lead regulatory counsel for the $110 million sale of a private-equity owned home medical equipment company to a strategic buyer.
Arnold’s leadership roles at Polsinelli position her among the top-ranking leaders among the firm’s 900 attorneys from coast to coast. She is a tireless advocate to affect and craft firmwide policies to promote the advancement and tenure of women in law. In fact, the role within the firm of which she is most proud, is being named the Chair of the Women’s Empowerment Committee.
“Leading the programming for Polsinelli’s Women’s Empowerment Committee is my most outstanding business accomplishment,” Arnold said. “By designing a mentoring program for up-and-coming women attorneys, I hope to give my women colleagues meaningful opportunities for success and to demonstrate that our firm understands and works to address the unique challenges faced by women in law.”
