HEPLERBROOM: Asbestos Team Adds Two Attorneys - 3/16/21

Heplerbroom issued the following announcement on Mar. 16.

Taylor A. Harris and M. Colleen LaVelle have joined HeplerBroom’s asbestos and toxic tort teams. Both attorneys are associates in the firm’s St. Louis office.

Harris obtained her J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law in 2017. She also holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of West Georgia, graduating magna cum laude. While in law school, she was on the Dean’s List and earned an Academic Excellence Award in Property Law. Harris is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois and is admitted to the bar of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Prior to joining HeplerBroom, she defended insurance companies and their insureds in motor vehicle, design liability, construction, and mass tort cases. She also has experience in employment discrimination, personal injury, and criminal matters.

LaVelle obtained her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2018, simultaneously earning a Certificate of Health Law. She also holds a B.A. in Political Science (with minors in Psychology and Classical Humanities) from the University of Missouri-Columbia. While in law school, she participated in the Study Abroad program to Madrid, Spain, and volunteered for the Cedar Creek Therapeutic Horsemanship Program. She was also a member of the Women’s Law School Association, the Health Law Association, and the Barrister’s Ball committee.

Prior to joining HeplerBroom, LaVelle worked as an associate attorney representing corporate clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, premises and product liability, and insurance coverage. She is licensed to practice in Missouri.
