GRRENSFELDER HEMKER & GLAE PC: Kathy Butler Joins Leadership Team for Meritas Women’s Leadership Congress

H

Greensfelder Hemker & Gale PC. issued the following announcement on Mar. 25.

Greensfelder Officer Kathy H. Butler has been named to the leadership group for a new women’s initiative launched by global law firms network Meritas.

Butler is one of 10 members from across the globe who comprise the Meritas Women’s Leadership Congress’ Leadership Council. The mission of the Women’s Leadership Congress is to create a path to leadership for the women of Meritas by providing more visibility and engagement opportunities through knowledge-sharing, mentoring and skills-building. The group will boost interactions among member firms to promote diversity and inclusion as an important part of recruiting and retention, business development, and the elevation of women leaders. The Congress will include members designated from each Meritas firm.

Butler has been an active leader within Meritas for many years, most recently serving as chair of the U.S. Leadership Committee. She also has served on the network’s Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Board and is one of Greensfelder’s primary liaisons to Meritas.

Greensfelder is a longtime member of Meritas, an international alliance of business law firms, and is the exclusive Meritas law firm in the St. Louis metropolitan area. The firm’s membership offers clients access to the experience and legal knowledge of nearly 200 business law firms in 90 countries worldwide.

Butler is the second Greensfelder attorney this year to be selected to help lead new Meritas initiatives on diversity and inclusion. Greensfelder Officer Christopher A. Pickett was recently named to the Leadership Council for the newly formed Meritas Black Lawyers Forum.
