HEPLERBROOM: Jacobi and Young in Leadership Positions with Claims College

Award

Heplerbroom issued the following announcement on May 20.

Katie Jacobi and Michael Young have each been named to positions of leadership with one of CLM’s (Claims and Litigation Management Alliance) Claims College specialty schools. Jacobi is a member of the Executive Council of the School of Extra-Contractual Claims, while Young is a faculty member of the same school.

CLM’s Claims College schools provide education and certifications to insurance claims management professionals. More information, including registration for the 2021 Claims College, is available here.

Jacobi, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, focuses her practice on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. She has been named a Rising Star by Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers and an Emerging Lawyer by Illinois Leading Lawyers. In 2019, she received the Rising Star award from the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC). She has also served as an Assistant Editor of IDC Quarterly. Jacobi frequently writes and speaks on issues related to insurance law.

Young, a partner in the firm’s St. Louis office, also focuses his practice on insurance coverage and bad faith issues. In addition, he advises insurers on drafting policy language and developing best practices in handling claims. He is a Certified Litigation Management Professional and has been named to the list of Best Lawyers in America. Young currently serves on CLM’s Insurance Coverage and Extra-Contractual Committees. He is also on the Legislative Committee for the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers.
