Greensfelder Hemker & Gale PC. issued the following announcement on July 6.
Greensfelder is among the finalists for the St. Louis Business Journal’s annual ranking of Healthiest Employers for the second consecutive year.
A total of 28 organizations from across the St. Louis region were announced on July 6 as finalists. Greensfelder is included in the medium-sized employers category, which includes those with between 100 and 499 employees. Winners in each category will be profiled in the Sept. 3 issue of the Business Journal.
“As Covid-19 continued to spread over the past year, the situation further highlighted the need for wellness programs inside companies,” the Business Journal said in its announcement of the finalists. “St. Louis-area firms are taking the health — both physical and mental — of their employees seriously, and that is especially true for our 28 finalists this year.”
Greensfelder’s Well-Being Program strives to increase the overall wellness of all employees through opportunities encompassing physical, financial, emotional and social health. Initiatives have included yoga and meditation classes; seminars on nutrition, financial health and other topics; a healthy recipes cookbook; and other opportunities. During the pandemic, the firm strived to ensure that employees working remotely still had wellness resources available, including virtual challenges and seminars. The Well-Being Program, launched in 2019, is led by Human Resources Manager Jessie Fenton.
