MISSOURI BAR: Missouri Bar Board of Governors set to met July 16

Missouri Bar issued the following announcement on July 12.

Members of The Missouri Bar Board of Governors, each elected to represent lawyers from their respective districts, met Friday, July 16, 2021, via video conference. 

During the meeting, the board heard updates on bar finances, CLE programs and conferences, government relations, Annual Meeting, and other operating matters. Several special committees also provide reports, including those pertaining to COVID-19 technology assistance grants, lawyer well-being, lawyers of color, and legislative procedures.  

Several committees and commissions have upcoming vacancies, and those positions been announced and open to discussion. In addition, a representative from the Young Lawyers’ Section shared proposed by-law amendments. 

The meeting concluded with a vice-president candidate forum and an election for the appellate district board seats in western and southern Missouri.
