ST. LOUIS - Matthew Macormic filed a complaint on Feb. 10 in Phelps County Circuit Court against GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Health over its labeling of Benefiber products being all natural - claims the company has chosen to fight in federal court.

GSK removed the case to St. Louis federal court on July 26. Macormic alleges that GSK Consumer Health sells products under a false label of being "100% Natural," when in fact the products include wheat dextrin, a non-natural, synthetic ingredient.

Macormic alleges that consumers would not buy the Benefiber products knowing that they are not all natural, and the practices of the company putting on the label that its items are all natural is false, misrepresentation and unfair.

Macormic is represented by David L. Steelman.
