Armstrong Teasdale Welcomes 12 Associates Across U.S. Offices

Armstrong Teasdale issued the following announcement on Nov. 3.

Armstrong Teasdale has added 12 associates across practice groups and offices throughout the U.S., including in Denver, Colorado, and Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri. The new class of associates includes Caroline Basler, Zachary Beach, Katie Guilfoyle, Megan Hart, Hannah Hope, Kristen Koerber, Claudia Magloire, Jordyn McDowell, Zackary Nehls, Deidre Powell, Jordan Spicer and Evan Sullivan. They join more than 350 attorneys throughout the U.S. and in the U.K.

Basler joins the firm’s Financial and Real Estate Services practice group, where she assists clients with a variety of transactions. Her background includes international experience gained through a fellowship in global public interest law in South Africa, which lends to her skills in conducting legal research and interviews, and drafting memoranda on a variety of issues. Her previous experience also includes work concerning private equity, emerging companies and mass torts.

Beach joins the firm’s Litigation practice group in Kansas City, primarily focusing on corporate, health care, employment and labor, and technology matters. His background as a law clerk at a local firm and a summer intern in the Missouri State Public Defender’s office has provided him experience preparing memoranda and conducting in-depth research on a variety of topics. He has also assisted in the preparation of depositions and the drafting of motions and supporting briefs regarding various substantive and procedural issues in state and federal court.

Guilfoyle joins the firm’s Litigation practice group, where she handles disputes covering a range of issues for clients of all sizes. Her background serving as a judicial law clerk for Chief Justice Boatright on the Colorado Supreme Court and working as a judicial intern in both the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals lends to her familiarity with the judicial process and key judges and agency officials in the Denver area.

Hart joins the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group in St. Louis, where she focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the health care and life science disciplines. She has five years of health care industry experience including global clinical testing project management, diagnostic regulatory launch support and software implementation that enable her to provide sound guidance to clients on complex medical and technical concepts. She previously worked at the firm as a summer associate in the Intellectual Property practice group.

Hope joins the firm’s Litigation practice group in St. Louis and focuses on appellate, employment and labor, and general commercial litigation matters. She has a diverse background working in the U.K., Europe, Canada and Asia, and brings to bear her international experience in each client representation.

Koerber joins the Financial and Real Estate Services practice group in Kansas City where she focuses on providing counsel to clients in all facets of real estate and finance transactions. Her prior experience as a judicial intern at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri, at the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office, and as research assistant to a law school professor lends to her ability to assist with a wide range of matters, including contentious issues and those involving public finance, community improvement districts (CIDs), tax increment financing (TIF) and neighborhood improvement districts.

Magloire joins the firm’s International practice in St. Louis. She has experience in conducting high-level research and drafting detailed legal memoranda. Magloire has also assisted in pre-trial preparation.

McDowell joins the Corporate Services practice group in Denver. She has experience in drafting and negotiating contracts, providing companies guidance on internal policies and procedures, filing immigration petitions, conducting detailed legal research and drafting legal memoranda. She also has experience in preparing clients for court proceedings. 

Nehls joins the firm’s Corporate Services practice group in St. Louis. He has experience in conducting high-level research and drafting detailed legal memoranda. Nehls is also experienced in business management, finance and accounting. In his prior roles as a law clerk, he supported matters relating to contractual drafting, estate planning, real estate, tax and probate law.

Powell joins the firm’s Litigation practice group in St. Louis. Her wide-ranging experience in higher education, public service and for a major telecommunications company enables her to effectively serve clients across a variety of areas including general commercial litigation, employment and labor, higher education, estate planning, corporate law, toxic torts and medical malpractice. Based on her prior experience, Powell is intimately familiar with counseling clients in highly regulated industries, including matters involving the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), as well as criminal investigation demands (CID) by the government.

Spicer joins the firm’s Financial and Real Estate Services practice group in St. Louis, where she focuses on serving clients with a variety of financial needs including those particularly related to trusts and estates. Her background includes experience related to law enforcement matters, as well as a corporate legal apprenticeship for a national menswear retailer. Spicer also has first-hand experience with matters involving commercial real estate law and is skilled at organizing and managing case files related to real estate holdings and leasing contracts.

Sullivan joins the firm’s Litigation practice group in St. Louis. His prior experience in the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Eastern District, U.S. Attorney’s Office in St. Louis, St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the St. Louis City Circuit Attorney’s Office has provided him with the opportunity to develop relationships with key members of the bench and bar and gain a deep understanding of the local court system. Sullivan also has past experience in the financial services industry, which lends to his understanding of complex financial transactions, securities, tax, estate planning and benefits.
