ST. LOUIS - Christal Lucus recently filed a lawsuit in St. Charles County Circuit Court against Eurofins Pharma Bioanalytics Services U.S., Inc. for alleged violation of the Missouri Human Rights Act, the Equal Pay Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family Medical Leave Act.

According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 21, 2021, Lucus was part of a telephone conference with Defendant in which it is alleged she was harassed for time she needed to take off due to her suffering from a disability and medical treatment she needed. Lucus claims that the defendant refused to accommodate her disabilities.

Lucus had claimed previously that she was not paid as much as what male data admins were. The suit says she suffers from both a physical and mental impairment.

Eurofins removed the case to St. Louis federal court on Dec. 15.

Lucus seeks an amount in excess of $25,000 for nominal damages, back pay, front pay, loss of benefits, punitive damages, liquidated damages, interest, cost of suit, pain and suffering and attorney's fees. Lucus is represented by Kasper Law Firm.
