Woman sues former employee for alleged ADA violation

ST. LOUIS - Alexis Bell filed a federal lawsuit on Jan. 17 in the Eastern District of Missouri against CRB Architects-Engineers P.C. for alleged violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

According to the lawsuit, on Dec. 4, 2019, Bell was employed by the defendant when a constructive discharge was caused because of her pregnancy and related medical conditions and because she is disabled.

Bell was caused to suffer past and future pecuniary losses, relocation expenses, job search expenses, emotional pain, suffering, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment of life, humiliation and medical expenses, the suit says.
