Polsinelli Achieves Top 1-2% Ranking in Each Category of Patexia’s 2022 Patent Litigation Intelligence Report For Third Consecutive Year

Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli is pleased to be ranked multiple times in Patexia’s Patent Litigation Intelligence Report 2022 edition. The firm ranked highly in multiple categories, including ranking among the top 10 Best Performing Law Firms representing Plaintiffs and top 20 Best Performing Law Firms Overall based on its efficiency, success and activity, as well as for its number of patent cases.

Patexia’s Patent Litigation Intelligence Report examines all of the stakeholders involved in district court patent litigation over a period of the last four years, including 14,506 District Court patent cases, 12,293 unique patents and 14,251 defendants and plaintiffs.

Polsinelli’s top rankings for 2022 demonstrate the firm’s achievement of a top 1-2% ranking in each category for three consecutive years. The 2022 rankings include:

  • Top 10 Best Performing Law Firm representing Plaintiffs (No. 8)
  • Top 20 Best Performing Law Firm Overall (Representing Defendants or Plaintiff(s) (No. 19)
  • Top 40 Most Active Law Firms Defendant (No. 34)
  • Top 40 Most Active Law Firms Overall (Representing Defendants or Plaintiff(s) (No. 37)
  • Top 40 Most Active Law Firms Representing Plaintiffs (No. 38)
  • Top 100 Best Performing Law Firms Representing Defendants (No. 55)
Patexia also analyzed and reviewed the performance and activity of individual attorneys in its Patent Litigation Intelligence Report. Shareholder Thomas L. Gemmell, a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice in Polsinelli’s Chicago office, is listed No. 63 on the list of Best Performing Patent Litigators Representing Plaintiffs. Counsel Stephen J. Kraftschik, an Intellectual Property litigator in Polsinelli’s Wilmington office, is listed No. 47 on the list of Most Active Local Counsel Representing Defendants.
