A recent Northern District of Illinois personal injury trial involving alleged claimed damages of complex regional pain syndrome ended with a substantially reduced plaintiff verdict. HeplerBroom attorneys Meg Fowler and Linda Hay were asked by defendant to take over the case from another law firm before the jury trial began, during expert discovery. Plaintiff had originally asked for $600,000 but had increased that demand to $10 million before Fowler and Hay took over the case. The jury returned a verdict of $490,000.
