Armstrong Teasdale announces that nine lawyers are listed among The Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom® and Ones to Watch – 2023 edition. The London-based practitioners were recognized across seven different practice areas, demonstrating a significant concentration in both Corporate and Sports Law, as well as high marks for our growing Criminal, Litigation and Capital Markets practices. In addition, more than 120 Armstrong Teasdale lawyers are recognized annually by Best Lawyers in the U.S., for which the 2023 edition is slated to launch in August 2022.
Selection for Best Lawyers in the U.K. was based on the results of peer-review surveys. The list features more than 5,000 lawyers across more than 30 metropolitan areas and more than 80 practice areas in the U.K.
Consultant Nick Bitel has been ranked for over 15 years consecutively in the area of Sports Law. Five others were designated as Best Lawyers in their respective practice areas including Partner Yvonne Costello, Corporate Law; Partner Una Deretic, Corporate Law; Partner Sarnjit Lal, Criminal Practice; Partner Zane Shihab, Sports Law; and Partner James Thorndyke, Sports Law.
“We’re keen to continue to grow the firm in London and drive recognition of our lawyers’ outstanding work,” said Partner and Leader – Europe Daniel O’Connell. “We also continue to invest in expanding international and cross-border practice areas, such as our criminal practice, and that aim is reflected in the Best Lawyers ranking we earned today.”
In addition, three lawyers were named among the Ones to Watch, a designation that features up-and-coming lawyers in practice for less than 10 years. Recognitions included Senior Associate Molly Ahmed, Litigation; Associate Solicitor Emma Shaw, Sports Law; and Solicitor (Western Australia) Cameron Sutton, Capital Markets Law.
Since the opening of Armstrong Teasdale’s London office in 2021, the London team has grown steadily. To accommodate this growth, the firm recently moved into new state-of-the-art office space in Lincoln’s Inn Fields.
