Armstrong Teasdale Welcomes New Attorneys in Washington, D.C., Boston, Kansas City

Armstrong Teasdale announces the addition of Partners Ivan Knauer and Peter McLaughlin, and Senior Associate Camille Roe to the firm. They join a roster of more than 700 lawyers and staff professionals across Armstrong Teasdale’s 15 offices internationally.

Knauer, based in Washington, D.C., represents public companies, broker-dealers, investment advisers, investment companies and their officers, directors and employees in securities enforcement and litigation matters. He represents clients in enforcement matters brought by a variety of state and federal agencies, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Department of Justice (DOJ). He also handles securities class actions, arbitrations and internal investigations. A former enforcement attorney at FINRA and the SEC, Knauer also advises financial institutions on regulatory compliance matters.

McLaughlin is a seasoned privacy and data security attorney who advises clients with respect to a broad range of technology transactions, U.S. and international privacy, and cybersecurity issues. His practice focuses on uses of data across a range of industry sectors, with a particular depth of experience in health care. McLaughlin guides clients in their domestic and international handling of personal information; new product development; and the assessment of legally defensible cybersecurity programs. He is based in the firm’s Boston office.

Roe’s practice covers the spectrum of employment litigation, including both state and federal claims. She has substantial trial experience, including both suits by private parties and by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). She has handled cases involving claims of race, age, disability and sex discrimination, as well as sexual harassment and retaliatory discharge. She has experience dealing with the EEOC and the U.S. Department of Labor, as well as state and local labor and employment agencies. In addition, Roe is certified in Dispute Resolution, and as a neutral, she has resolved a number of employment disputes in mediation. She also routinely counsels clients on a variety of employment practices. She is based in the firm’s Kansas City office.
