Armstrong Teasdale announces that Ali Carson has been promoted to Senior Director of Talent Development, effective Oct. 1, 2022. As part of the firm’s Human Resources department and senior leadership team, Carson will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive strategy to develop, coach, engage and retain top-tier talent across the firm’s diverse workforce.

“Ali’s impressive credentials made this an easy decision,” said Managing Partner Patrick Rasche. “I am confident given her background, that she will be a driver in creating even stronger teams that can deliver transformational results. Ali has been instrumental in our ongoing strategic planning dialogue, and her thoughtful, strengths-focused approach is invaluable.”

In her role as Senior Director, Carson will lead multiple aspects of assimilation and onboarding, performance development, talent management and succession planning, assessment and coaching, career development and leadership development, and ensure programming is available at all levels in support of the firm’s strategic goals.

“Just as we’ve emphasized the firm’s Integration and Growth function in recent years, I am pleased to have the opportunity to put further focus on our Talent Development efforts,” said Carson. “This presents significant opportunities for employee engagement, as well as recruiting and retaining talent as the firm continues to grow.”

Carson holds a number of additional professional certifications including Mental Health First Aider; Center for Creative Leadership 360 Assessment Certified Facilitator; Hogan Assessments Level 2 Certified Facilitator; Outcome Engenuity Certified Just Culture Champion; VitalSmarts Certified Trainer; InsideOut Coaching Certified Presenter; and Langevin Certified Instructor/Facilitator.

Before joining Armstrong Teasdale, Carson was senior manager for learning and organizational development during her 15-year tenure at a large health care system in St. Louis, where she led a team of instructional designers and facilitators in creating and delivering programs and interventions related to systems thinking, change leadership, impactful communication, team effectiveness, and CliftonStrengths.
