St. Louis Adds Two Associate Attorneys

Elizabeth Rathert | Hepler Broom Lawyer

Elizabeth E. Rathert and Matthew T. Suddarth have joined HeplerBroom as associate attorneys in the firm’s St. Louis office. Rathert focuses her practice on trials involving the defense of civil litigation matters, including insurance law, personal injury, products liability, and property damage, while Suddarth’s focus is on trials involving the defense of complex business litigation matters, including commercial litigation, personal injury, and medical and dental malpractice.

Rathert obtained her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2022. She also holds a B.A. in History from the University of Missouri Columbia. While in law school, she was on the Dean’s List and was a Dean’s Scholarship Recipient. She also was on the Moot Court Board, served as a Student Ambassador, and participated in the Criminal Defense and Advocacy Clinic, Sports and Employment Law Association, Women Law Students Association, and the Theodore McMillian American Inns of Court as a pupillage member. Rathert is licensed to practice in Missouri.

Suddarth obtained his J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 2022. He also holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Montevallo. During law school he received a Washington University Scholar in Law merit-based scholarship and was on the Dean’s List. He was also Senior Editor of the Washington University Law Review, was a semi-finalist for the Outstanding Brief Award at Moot Court, and was a founding member of the Young Advocates for the Incarcerated. Suddarth served as a 2021 HeplerBroom Summer Associate. Prior to law school, he was a public school music teacher. Suddarth, too, is licensed to practice in Missouri.
