HeplerBroom’s Amanda Mueller has been selected as one of five Portrait of Hope Ambassadors for the American Cancer Society of Missouri. Mueller has made multiple appearances for the group during October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, including one on Fox2 News with her husband, Brad. (That interview is available here.)
As a breast cancer survivor (she was diagnosed in September 2020), Mueller counsels those undergoing treatment to not hesitate to ask for help. Characterizing herself as someone who likes to be in control of things, she initially found that difficult. “But, she added, “it quickly became apparent that it wasn't just about me but [also] about my family's quality of life, too.” Accepting help and support from a circle beyond her immediate household made it possible for her and her family to get through the early days of chemotherapy infusions with some sense of sanity.
Mueller, a partner in the firm’s St. Louis office, focuses her practice on the defense of cases involving complex litigation matters, including personal injury, premises liability, and religious and school institution cases involving allegations of abuse/misconduct.
