H

AmLaw 100 firm Polsinelli is pleased to announce the appointment of St. Louis-based attorneys to several key leadership roles. St. Louis Office Managing Partner Jane E. Arnold has been named co-chair of the firm's national Business Department. She will share the duties of her new role with Kolin Holladay, a shareholder in the firm’s Nashville office. Arnold also leads the firm’s national Women’s Empowerment Committee.

The firm also made two additional key leadership changes within its health care transactions space. Polsinelli named St. Louis shareholder Margaret H. Hillman as chair of Polsinelli’s national Health Care Alignment and Organization practice, which is focused on representing health care providers in strategic transactions including mergers and acquisitions as well as structuring clinically aligned networks. Hillman is succeeding Arnold in this role. In addition, Andrew J. Voss, also a St. Louis shareholder, has been named as co-chair of the firm’s national Health Care Mergers and Acquisitions practice. Voss shares this responsibility with Jon Henderson, who also chairs the Firm’s corporate and transactions practice group, and is resident in the Dallas office. Arnold previously served in the role Voss is assuming.

Arnold is stepping into her business department role at a time of national growth and development for the firm. In just the past five years, Polsinelli has grown from over 700 to more than 1,000 attorneys. With Arnold’s appointment, half of the firm's department chairs are women.

"With Jane’s appointment as the Business Department Co-Chair, the firm demonstrates its long-standing commitment to excellence, inclusive representation, and geographic diversity at every level of the firm,” Chase Simmons, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Polsinelli said. "Both Jane and Kolin are leaders who are highly respected within our firm and the industries in which they practice. Under their leadership, the Business Department will continue to create meaningful opportunities for our lawyers and clients, all consistent with our strategic priorities,” he added.

Arnold has broad experience in mergers and acquisitions, representing private equity sponsors, strategic purchasers, and sellers across diverse industries with a primary focus on health care industry transactions. She deeply understands the health care industry and applies that knowledge in a sophisticated transactional practice.

"I am proud to be among the outstanding leaders at Polsinelli, and I look forward to working with Kolin to lead our talented team forward,” Arnold said. "This is an exciting time for the firm as we build on an incredibly strong foundation. I am also extremely pleased to have Margaret and Andy assume their challenging new roles. Their appointments continue the strong tradition of leadership by St. Louis lawyers of our national firm.”

Margaret H. Hillman focuses her practice on transactional and regulatory matters affecting health care providers. She works with these clients on a wide array of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Hillman provides clients with valuable strategic advice whether they are involved in a transaction or in the course of their business.

“In my new role as Chair of Polsinelli’s national Health Care Alignment and Organization Practice Group,” Hillman said, “I look forward to growing and enhancing the firm’s position as a national leader in the health care industry on a daily basis.”

Polsinelli shareholder Andrew J. Voss focuses his practice on complex health care transactions for a variety of national health care clients with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions in the behavioral, specialty provider and post-acute care industries. In addition to his new position, Voss also serves as a Chair of Polsinelli’s Home Health, Home Care and Hospice specialty group. Voss began his career as a licensed physical therapist. This experience provides him with the unique perspective of applying practical solutions by integrating clinical experience with legal analysis.

“I look forward to leading our firm’s Health Care Mergers and Acquisitions practice with Jon Henderson,” Voss said. “Our clients are facing more and greater challenges than ever. Our Health Care Mergers and Acquisitions practice, which is continuously recognized one of the best in the U.S., is uniquely positioned to serve their ever-changing needs.”
