Julie O’Keefe, a partner in Armstrong Teasdale’s St. Louis office, was recognized by Missouri Lawyers Weekly on its 2022 Power List for Environmental and Energy Law. The list comprises the 32 most powerful environmental and energy attorneys in the state. Candidates for the list were selected based on archival research, a review of verdicts and settlements, and interviews with attorneys and other leaders.
O’Keefe’s niche practice spans both environmental and occupational safety and health, which sets her apart from other lawyers, who typically handle one or the other, but rarely both. Governmental agencies she routinely deals with include, among others, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and state counterparts, the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and state counterparts. She has represented businesses in regulatory matters in virtually every state in the U.S.
