Greensfelder Elevates Four Attorneys to Officer for 2023

Greensfelder is pleased to announce that attorneys Sally Specht Browning, Jessica Courtway, Sanja Ord and Elizabeth Pack have each been promoted to officer, effective February 1, 2023.

Courtway, Ord, Pack and Browning are all based out of the firm’s St. Louis office.

This marks the third consecutive all-female class of officer promotions, aligning with the firm’s core value of removing barriers to success and promoting equity.

“The firm is excited to welcome Sally, Jessica, Sanja and Elizabeth as new officers,” Greensfelder President and Chief Executive Officer Kevin T. McLaughlin said. “Each of them has made important contributions to the success of our clients and exemplifies the firm’s commitment to quality service. We’re also proud to further our ongoing commitment to the promotion of women and diverse lawyers.”

Browning, a member of the firm’s Business Services and Health Care practice groups, received her law degree from Washington University School of Law. She practices in the corporate health care arena and has experience in the unique transactional and regulatory issues that companies in the health care industry face, including anti-kickback and Stark issues. She is knowledgeable on issues related to health care transactions, compliance, contract drafting, negotiation and administration, as well as managed care and provider licensing. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the St. Louis Health Lawyers Association and the Missouri Society of Health Care Attorneys.

A member of the Construction practice group, Courtway received her law degree from Washington University School of Law. Her practice focuses on construction matters including litigation and arbitration, prosecution of mechanic’s liens, contract negotiation, and contractor licensing issues. Courtway has held leadership positions in professional and community organizations including the National Association of Women in Construction, the Missouri Asian-American Bar Association, and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis’ Young Lawyers Division. She also is a member of the Young Lawyer Advisory Board for the Meritas global law firms network.

Ord, a member of the Health Care practice group, received her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law with a concentration in health law. With experience in highly regulated areas of the medical industry, she advises hospitals, health systems and other providers and organizations on contracts, fraud and abuse laws, medical staff bylaws and other policies and transactions. She also regularly advises physicians on employment contract review. Before attending law school, Ord worked as a certified nuclear medicine technologist, giving her a strong understanding of regulatory issues facing the health care industry. She is also a member of the St. Louis Health Lawyers Association.

Practicing in the Trusts & Estates group, Pack received her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law. Her practice focuses on developing estate plans to ensure clients’ financial futures and wealth are protected. She is experienced in drafting trusts, wills, powers of attorney and real estate deeds, as well as handling tax issues. She has been active in a number of professional and community organizations including the St. Louis Sports Commission and the FOCUS St. Louis Emerging Leaders program.
