Greensfelder is pleased to announce that Season Walker is the recipient of the firm’s inaugural SLIP in Law Scholarship, a new initiative intended to assist the firm’s St. Louis Internship Program (SLIP) graduates who go on to attend law school.

Walker is headed to law school in the fall after spending the past 16 months working as a legal administrative assistant at Greensfelder while completing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She first joined the firm in 2020 as a SLIP intern while attending Central Visual and Performing Arts High School.

Greensfelder participates in SLIP annually, employing one high school junior or senior for eight weeks during the summer. The firm seeks students who are interested in learning about more about the legal field, particularly those with a goal of becoming an attorney one day.

During the program, Greensfelder’s SLIP interns have the chance to explore different areas of law, gain insights into the various departments responsible for the smooth functioning of a firm, and actively contribute to real-life projects. Greensfelder is committed to providing mentorship to these interns not only during their time at the firm but also in the future, understanding that extra support can greatly impact their career paths.

Greensfelder’s new SLIP in Law Scholarship aims to further assist these outstanding students. As part of this scholarship, former SLIP interns who go on to attend law school will receive $5,000 to help cover the cost of textbooks throughout their academic journey.
