The Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) has recognized Shook as a Gold Standard Firm for women lawyers in leadership roles. This is the 13th consecutive year the firm has met the Gold Standard certification.
To meet the Gold Standard criteria, large firms are required to have 25% of equity partners or 40% of attorneys becoming equity partners during the past 12 months identify as women. They also require 10% of women equity partners are women of color or 4% of women equity partners are LGBTQ+.
Shook is chaired by Madeleine McDonough who is serving her second term as chair. McDonough is a Chambers-ranked attorney and the recipient of the National Association of Women Lawyers Leadership Award.
WILEF is the premier organization for women in law exclusively dedicated to women from the largest law firms and corporate law departments in the United States.
