Former Missouri Deputy Attorney General Bill Corrigan has joined Shook to lead the firm’s St. Louis office as managing partner and will be a partner in the Business Litigation Practice.
Corrigan is one of the most well-known lawyers in Missouri, both in courtrooms and boardrooms. He brings to the firm years of trial experience. Before joining the bench, Corrigan practiced law as a civil trial lawyer and outside general counsel. He has tried many cases in state and federal courts of Missouri and several other states.
“This move to Shook, which has a national trial reputation, allows me to balance my family and career and practice law in a city I love,” said Corrigan.
Before serving in the Attorney General’s Office, Corrigan served as a circuit judge in St. Louis County, where he presided over many major criminal and civil jury trials, and managed a civil trial docket of more than 450 cases.
During his tenure as deputy attorney general for the state of Missouri, Corrigan served as lead trial counsel or as an adviser on many high-profile cases that gained statewide and national attention.
Corrigan has received numerous awards and honors and is listed in Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, and other publications. Earlier in his career, Corrigan was elected by his peers as one of the youngest presidents in the history of The Missouri Bar.
