Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey announced that he has recruited Branden Rathert to serve as Deputy Communications Director.

“Branden has a wealth of communications experience, and I am excited he is bringing those skills to our team at the Attorney General’s Office,” said Attorney General Bailey. “He will be an incredible asset as we work to serve all six million Missourians.”

Rathert brings thirty years of experience as a radio talk show host. Most notably, he has served as head host of Wake Up Mid-Missouri since September 2015. Before that, he served as a talk show host and program director for morning radio shows in Florida, Idaho, Illinois, and Indiana.

“I am beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to add to the incredibly passionate team at the Attorney General’s Office,” said Rathert. “I look forward to assisting Attorney General Bailey in protecting the Constitution and serving Missourians.”

Throughout his career, he has won Edward R. Murrow and Associated Press awards for documentaries on homelessness, SWAT teams, his reporting on the Gulf Coast Oil Spill, the Sandy Hook shooting, and the Gulf Coast floods of 2014.
