ST. LOUIS  — CarShield claims ConsumerAffairs is illegally using their trademark.

NRRM LLC filed a complaint Oct. 23 in federal court against Consumers Unified LLC doing business as Consumeraffairs and others alleging Federal Trademark Infringement and other claims.

NRRM, doing business a CarShield, alleges in its complaint that it paid the defendants for ads and leads on their website, http://consumeraffairs.com">consumeraffairs.com and that the defendants is not an "unbiased ranking and review website" as marketed but an illegal "pay-to-play system." CarShield claims that despite informing the defendants that they wish to stop doing business with Consumeraffairs and requesting their logos and all references to CarShield to be removed, the defendants have refused. They allege the defendants also falsely advertise competing vehicle service contract companies that sell "warranties" and "extended warranties" which only manufacturers can provide. CarShield further alleges the defendant's infringement on their trademarks has been damaging to the company and "dilutes" their rights and value of the trademarks.

CarShield seeks monetary relief, interest, trial buy jury and all other just relief. They are represented by Jeffrey Kass in Denver, Colorado.
