Jessica Feinberg, JD ’08, recently returned to WashULaw for a faculty workshop where she presented her paper Multi-Parent Custody for comments and discussion. Professor Feinberg teaches at the University of Maine School of Law and is a nationally recognized expert on family law and gender and sexuality law.

Professors Karen Tokarz, Susan Frelich Appleton, and Neil Richards were delighted to welcome their former student back to the law school. While at WashULaw as a student, Feinberg was student instructor for Law, Gender, and Justice, a course supervised by Professors Tokarz and Appleton, and currently in its 25th consecutive year. In addition to her role as a student instructor, she served as an Articles Editor on the Washington University Law Review. Following graduation, she clerked for Judge Michael Murphy on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Last year, the University of Maine recognized Professor Feinberg as Teacher of the Year. She was previously honored as Professor of the Year at Mercer University.
