A man has sued U-Haul, saying he was fired for discussing wages with his colleagues.

Jonathon Stevens filed his complaint in federal court against U-Haul Company of Missouri.

According to the complaint, the incident occurred in Greene County. Stevens alleges that U-Haul, through agents Tammy Richmond and Zach Pilkington, terminated his employment because he had discussed his and co-workers' wages. He says that is a violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act. The plaintiff further accuses U-Haul of having a policy prohibiting employees from discussing wages with each other and terminating employees for doing so.

Stevens claims U-Haul knew its actions were a violation of the FLSA and terminated his employment intending to harm him. As a result of these actions, Stevens seeks compensatory damages.

He is being represented by Raymond Lampert from Lampert Law Office.
