A potential class action lawsuit claims a business violated the Fair Labor Standards Act and Missouri's Minimum Wage Law.

Lamar Tolden is the named plaintiff in the federal complaint against The City's Finest and Charles R. Betts. Tolden worked as a security officer for the company.

In the complaint, Tolden accuses the defendants of unpaid overtime compensation, related penalties and damages. He says their payroll policies directly violate both MMWL and FLSA.

He seeks declaratory relief, unpaid back wages, liquidated and/or other damages as permitted by applicable law, attorney fees, costs and expenses.

The plaintiff and prospective members of the collective are individuals currently and formerly employed by the defendants to work as security officers who claim they were denied the statutorily required overtime premium for all hours worked over forty hours in a work week.
