A Family Dollar shopper says she was injured after tripping on a pallet in the store.

Cheryl Arnold filed her lawsuit in federal court against the company.

According to the complaint, the incident occurred May 15, 2022, at the Family Dollar store in Gallatin, which is in Daviess County.

Arnold claims the store and its employees were negligent in creating and maintaining a dangerous condition by failing to remove or warn of the ground-level pallet in an aisle. As a result of her fall, Arnold suffered injuries to her right arm and left leg which required medical treatment including surgery.

She seeks compensatory damages for medical bills, loss of income, pain and suffering, loss of enjoyment of life and future medical expenses.

Arnold is being represented by Ed Dougherty of Dougherty & Holloway.
